How do portable solar panels work?

The Enertec Solar foldable panels work by capturing the sun’s rays in their cells, where they are converted to useful power through their MPPT charge controller.

The MPPT, or Maximum Power Point Tracker, controller is a DC to DC (Direct Current to Direct Current) converter that optimises the compatibility between the solar panels and the connected batteries.

The controller takes the higher voltage DC output coming from the solar panels, converts it to high-frequency AC, and then changes it back down to the lower DC voltage needed to charge the batteries.

This fast and highly efficient system is compatible with both lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries. Simply connect your battery to the panel via the included cable, and use the remote control to select a setting.

The operating parameters can be set by remote control. Infrared wireless communication allows for setting and reading the parameters and status of the panels and the batteries, enabling remote monitoring and communication. Choose from a range of modes, including "Normal" On Mode, Light Control + Time Control, and Charging-Only Mode.

The panels also come with a cable with attached anderson plugs, giving you everything you need to easily connect the components and start charging.
